Earing Test Machine Model 206
The Erichsen stamping paint testing machine, Model 206, has an electrohydraulic drive and blanking and drawing force of approx. 80 kN and blank holding force adjustable between 0 and 18 kN.
Model 206 functions on the principle of a blanking and drawing press and provides manufacturers and users with a standard test procedure for assessing the quality of stamping paints, plastic and other coatings on metal substrates. Testing is carried out quickly and, where required, in series. Using a max. blanking and drawing force of approx. 80 kN, Model 206 forms standard cups from painted sheet metal with a thickness of between 0.1 mm and 2.8 mm and a tensile strength of 200 N/mm2, or up to 1.0 mm sheet thickness with 400 N/mm2, in a quick process which can be carried out in series if necessary.
The stamping paint testing machine enables the quality of coatings on deep-drawn parts to be evaluated simply and accurately. During the test the coating is subjected to stresses equivalent to those applied during deformation by means of deep drawing with clamping pressure. This means that the coating must withstand compression, extension and bending strains under considerable pressure without the occurrence of surface or internal damage which could later give rise to corrosive attack.
Cupping & Deep Drawing Cup Test Machine Model 212
Model 212 is a fully automatic cupping and deep-drawing cup test machine for testing the ductility of coated, ferrous and non-ferrous metals (eg. stamping paints, lacquered, plastic coated or electroplated materials). The testing machine is provided with an electro-hydraulic drive with a maximum drawing force of 100 kN as well as digital displays indicating the drawing force, the blank holding force and the drawing punch displacement
When manufacturing deep-drawn products the ingoing material is deformed in all three co-ordinating planes. The surface coating should not become defective to avoid subsequent corrosion. For the standard controls and proofs required for the purposes of quality assurance, Model 212 is particularly suitable to conduct cupping and deep-drawing cup tests within the sheet metal thickness range of 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm. To intensify the tests by further special investigations, it is possible to easily carry out a redraw (a second deep-drawing operation conducted on the standard cup using a smaller drawing die and drawing punch).
The following reasons are important for using the Cupping and Deep-drawing Cup Test Machine, Model 212, for quality assurance, research and development:
Lowering of the reject rate by concerted monitoring of the coating quality during production or in the process department
Immediate sorting out of lower quality arriving at the goods inwards department by means of the ERICHSEN cupping test or the deep-drawing cup test. Without special test preparations it is possible to establish, if the material supplied corresponds to the prescribed properties
The sturdy construction and hydraulic operation ensure a wear-resistant functioning of the machine so that high accuracy of the test results at low maintenance and working expenses is guaranteed
Cupping & Deep Drawing Cup Test Machine Model 242
Especially intended for the coil coatings, this machine is suitable for the Erichsen Cupping Test as well as for the Deep Drawing Cup Test producing cylindrical and square cups.
Model 242 is a fully automatic cupping and deep-drawing cup test machine for testing the ductility of coated ferrous and non-ferrous metals (eg. stamping paints, lacquered, plastic coated or electroplated materials).
The testing machine is provided with an electro-hydraulic drive, programmable logic control, automatic test sequence and has a maximum drawing force of 200 kN. A digital display indicates the drawing force, the blank holding force and the drawing punch displacement.
Blanking, drawing and ejection of the cup is carried out in one operation.
